The articles of incorporation of the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change gGmbH that are in effect on May 24, 2012 (last amended on July 6, 2012) meet the requirements of Sections 51, 59, 60 and 61 of the Fiscal Code of Germany (Abgabenordnung, AO).
The corporation shall, in accordance with its articles of incorporation, promote the following charitable purposes: advancement of science and research (Section 52 (2) (1) AO).
